It’s been a while. All good?

It’s been a busy, but good year in the Psychoverse!
The release of Motorpsycho went well, even if our new set-up still wasn’t fully operational at the time, and we had some hicups in the process. This whole NFGS thing is still a work in progress, but we hope it will get both easier and cover more ground as we move along and get better at it!
We’re sorry some of you couldn’t find the album when it was new, but hopefully you all have by now. If not, we are considering this such an important album for the band, that we intend to keep it in print for the forseable future.
This means it will always be available in our various web stores: https://linktr.ee/motorpsycho
… along with as many as possible of our other releases and other swag. We promise to keep adding new re-releases and other fun stuff as often as possible!

In January we opened up the floodgates, and now the official band sanctioned Motorpsycho pages at the Live Archive is growing every week. This is all you guy’s efforts, care and love, so it really means a lot to us to see it flourish and grow, even if it’s a ‘warts’n all’-type experience for us!

The re-release of Child of the Future finally brought justice to an album that always felt like a step-child in our catalog and never was treated quite right. Well, now it is: The new ltd ed LP looks great and sounds better than ever, and the album is available digitally and on CD for the first time too.

Our latest foray into film music, the soundtrack to Theo Buhara’s Ahsol Caravan was also released this year. Following the tradition that the soundtrack to The Tussler started, this OST was also only released in 977 copies on CD. There are no immediate plans for a vinyl release or streaming any time soon, but there are still a few copies left of the CD left in the webstores if you need to hear what our music to a psychedelic mountaneering road movie sounds like!

The spring tour was – like always -a really nice sojourn! It ain’t getting easier as we get older and our bodies start acting up, but it is still what we consider the ideal state of a rock band where you get to try to find god in the music every night, and we still love it!
The various festivals and other gigs we did over the year in known (Freak Valley! Burg Herzberg!), rarely visited (Croatia, Basque country and Greece!), as well as in brand new territories (Bulgaria!) were also great experiences, and we thank you all for coming out and inspecting this year’s versions of the band!

A couple of weeks ago we released a new single. This is the first taste off our next long player which comes out it next year. We shall not tell you more about it here and now, but keep your eyes peeled and we promise to keep you informed as we get closer to release!

This autumn we have also started work on brand new music with new people in key positions, and you might get to hear some of that next year too, we’ll see! Early days, but already feeling fresh and sounding promising!

The only thing left on our 2025 calendar, is the annual, traditional pre-x-mas party at Byscenen in Trondheim on December 6. If you can’t make it, we hope to see you somewhere on the other side in 2026!

Be seeing you!
